A Mindful Calligraphy & Creative Reflection Workshop

Slow down. Create. Reflect.

Every season of life carries its own thoughts, emotions, and stories. Sometimes, words are enough. Sometimes, art helps us discover what words alone cannot.

Join us for a mindful afternoon where Chinese calligraphy meets creative play. Through brush, ink, and guided art-making, you’ll choose a word or phrase that feels right for you in this moment, whether it’s playful, grounding, or reflective, and bring it to life through your own artwork. There’s no fixed outcome to aim for, just the chance to slow down, create, and be present.

No artistic experience is needed, just come as you are.

What we'll do

During this three-hour workshop, you'll:

  • Learn the fundamentals of Chinese calligraphy and brush techniques

  • Choose a word or phrase that feels meaningful to you right now, whether it’s playful, grounding, or reflective

  • Create your own calligraphy artwork

  • Be guided by Leda through a mindful, mixed-media creative process, a chance to play, experiment, and simply be present with your materials.

  • Take a moment to pause, notice, and enjoy the process

  • Connect with others through creativity (sharing is always optional)

Rather than focusing on creating something "perfect," this workshop invites you to enjoy the process of slowing down, expressing yourself, and being present.

What's included

  • All calligraphy materials

  • All art and craft materials

  • Guided facilitation by Wen and Leda

  • Your finished artwork to take home

  • One complimentary drink (coffee, tea, or a selected café beverage)

Meet your facilitators

Wen - Calligraphy Artist

Wen is the founder of InkFlowCalligraphy, where she shares the beauty of traditional Chinese calligraphy through modern, beginner-friendly workshops. She believes calligraphy is more than writing. It is a mindful practice that encourages presence, patience, and flow.

Leda - Art Therapist (AThR)

ANZACATA Registered Art Therapist

Leda creates warm, playful spaces where creativity becomes a way to slow down, notice, and simply be. Sometimes that means reflection, sometimes it just means giving yourself permission to play, and enjoy the moment without judgement or agenda.

Present to express, not to impress.
