About Me

Hi this is Wen! I'm a calligraphy artist, former tech nomad, and full-time wave chaser — now based in Melbourne, Australia, with two years of Pacific ocean air still in my brushstrokes.

InkFlowCalligraphy was born in 2024 on the shores of Toucheng, Taiwan. Every brushstroke I make carries the same energy I look for in surfing — that moment of total flow, where everything else falls away and only the movement matters.

The Journey

Before ink, there was code. My career in tech took me to coastlines across the world — Portugal, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Taitung — and somewhere between the ocean and the open sky, I realised the same feeling I chased on every wave was what I wanted to create through calligraphy.

So I traded the keyboard for the brush.

For two years, I lived and created in Toucheng, Taiwan — writing by the Pacific, running workshops, building InkFlowCalligraphy from the ground up. Now I've brought it all to Melbourne, riding new waves and finding new walls to write on.

Now I make art that lives on walls, surfboards, tees, tattoos, and wedding tables. I run workshops where strangers laugh together over ink-stained hands. And I collaborate with brands who believe, like I do, that beauty should feel alive!

The Mission

Chinese calligraphy carries thousands of years of history — but it doesn't have to feel heavy. I want it to feel like the ocean: moving, alive, and open to everyone. My work is about bringing that feeling into daily life, one brushstroke at a time.
